Deranged landscapes your motorbike ploughs
Tracing a path best left forgotten
Only the wind dares to keep you company
In the vast hollowness there is nothing but you
And yet you ride amidst the barren lands
As desert as your calcified soul
Family, friends… their help you have rejected
Even though you cannot even help yourself
Strangled by the disease in your body
Haunted by the dilemmas of your mind
So deep the remorse for all your inactions
You just want to let yourself die
But there was a time when you were not alone
When people looked up to you with a grace
Milestone for their long and troubled journey
You stood still against the dangers they faced
Being by their side in goodness and adversity
You entered the heart of each one of them
So they crowned upon you the greatest title
A long awaited hero to them you were back then
Your heart sighs when this is remembered
But not for your glory or your pride gone away
Your chest aches when these letters do resound
Because such a title was best fit to her
Therefore you try to relive all the memories
Of a past when “ together ” was the way
But unavoidably they get so bittersweet
For the good moments are so tied with dismay
You think of her and find your lost emotions
Recollecting her pure and brightest smile
You think of her and feel unending sorrow
Regretting the time when in saving her you failed
All around you the darkness has befallen
And your innermost face has now turned to black
But still there is light at the end of obscurity
And without expecting it, for you she is there
Infinite meadow of flowers yellow white
Has bloomed in your spirit with no end in sight
Brilliant and blinding does surround you the light
And pressing on your back you feel her close by
So innocent her voice gentleness radiates
But her most beautiful image is not for you to see
Humbly you bow and beg for her forgiveness
She says it is yourself the one you must forgive
Tempted by her words so candid and comforting
Moved by a love that had struggled to remain
You turn your back around hoping to embrace her
But find yourself alone hugging the thin air
Just like poor Orpheus who turned for Eurydice
You discover to have lost the most precious of the gems
And as your bike goes on, the roaring of the engine
Makes you realize you are back to reality once again
Still you keep on running through this darkness
Knowing it is not over for the two of you
More battles shall require your previous strength
More feelings will come back to hold on to
Right now the worst part lies far ahead
Worse than the loss of your beloved one
A shadow of the past takes shape again
To crack your weakened soul into a million shards
Emerging from the void he comes to speak to you
Ineluctable voice of an undying nemesis
Awe-inspiring shout that fear wants to instil
Into the fragile self of the one who had destroyed him
Few are the words but with monstrous an intention
And echoes in the emptiness they soon become
Terrifying threat of the deepest malice
Glacial forecast of another abyss to come
Splendid in appearance, although with rotten heart
He falls down from above pointing just at you
Sentencing his verdict, as cruel as it could be
That a simple memory surely he will not be
To face an ancient foe you take your sword in hand
And cling to the faint glimmer bestowed on you by her
Although you are reluctant you have to fight again
To be forever more the hero that you were
